What a perfect weekend for weddings! We shot Lauren’s wedding Friday and Diana’s on Saturday with their joint reception Saturday evening. This was a first for us and even though I can’t figure out what day it is we had a blast capturing the love these couples shared. Lauren and Diana are from a family of 9 siblings and are best friends. It only seemed fitting that they had their wedding reception together and it was fun to capture some shots of these sisters together in their beautiful wedding dresses.
The first thing that came to mind as I was working on Diana and Luke’s photos was “real life fairytale”. Diana looked like a princess with her flower crown and the most beautiful location to get ready. Her day looks like it was straight out of a story book. Between the grand room they got ready in to the beautiful forest of tall trees where the girls had their pictures done to the gorgeous Blake Estate where their ceremony took place, it was a dream. I still can’t get over the beautiful places I am able to see because of this job!
Fun fact about Diana’s wedding dress, it was actually her cousins that she gave her when she was young. Diana would use it to play dress up growing up and decided that she would use it for her wedding day. The top part of her dress is actually from forever 21 for $8!!! It made the dress have an entirely different look and was GORGEOUS! As I was taking her portraits in front of the beautiful blue curtains I could not get over her dress and to hear the story behind it was crazy! But those are my favorite parts about a wedding day, hearing personal details and how they incorporate them into their day.
Diana and Luke share such a sweet love. She was so excited to marry her Luke and his love for her was so evident in the way he talked about her and looked at her the entire day. Their ceremony was simple and sweet, my favorite part (as usual) was seeing their faces as she walked down the isle. Diana had the sweetest giddy smile on her face the whole time as she walked towards Luke. Their day was absolutely beautiful. We had the most breath taking back drops at the Blake Estate to do photographs after the ceremony. Luke & Diana were so fun to photograph! They were up for anything and so excited to just be married. Their love is tender and sweet and it was beautiful to witness.
Congrats Diana & Luke and thank you for asking me to capture your special day <3
I hope you enjoy flipping through the pictures of this real life fairy tale
